In preperation for the upcoming campaigns our preseason opponents have been agreed. 

On Saturday August 17th we travel to Cardiff to face a Glamorgan Wanderers squad that has been promoted to the Championship having won our (new) division, 1 East Central, last season.  Wales take on England the same afternoon, therefore kick off time is to be confirmed.  

Saturday August 24th we welcome fellow Mid District, division 1 east, side Nelson to Hawthorn Rec.  We've faced each other on a number of occassions in recent times, at both 1st and 2nd team level, therefore we know it'll be a tough afternoons work. Kick off is scheduled for 2:30pm.

Sunday August 25th we hope to hold our own 10's tournament on Hawthorn Rec, for both men's and women's teams.  We are currently in the process of gathering interested teams and will post further details as and when they are available.  Should this go ahead there will be stalls and entertainment throughout the day.

Saturday August 31st will be our final test, before the new season kicks off, as we travel to another newly promoted Championship side Ystalyfera.  This will be more of an unknown quantity as we've had very few if any meetings in the past.  Once again Wales play a world cup warm up games in the afternoon, therefore this one will be a 1pm kick off.  

Prior to the games above there will be a players meeting in the club on Saturday 22nd June at 4pm.  The coaching staff have request all senior players attend to discuss the season ahead.
